About

Item 0002 / Job card

Developer by trade, author by accident, CTO by now.

Professionally I am Alistair Burns; on the books and on YouTube I am Ally. I have been a developer for over twenty years, and I still am one. These days I am one of the three co-founders of Learn to Love Digital, a digital agency and innovation lab in Edinburgh, where I am the CTO. We set the company up in 2016, and when our tourism platform, Whereverly, grew into something with its own name, the company took it: it is Whereverly Limited now, with Learn to Love Digital as its trading name.

Turn Down the Tap is the book I spent a decade not writing: every method that half-worked for a magpie brain like mine, finally lined up so the dots connect.
